Day 1 – Eating plan
Even though you may think that you are eating quite well and choosing healthy food options you would be surprised at how many processed foods you take into your system without really knowing it. This 7 day eating plan is a menu that will eliminate all processed foods from your diet and instead you will be eating meals that are rich in whole foods and low in artificial ingredients. This is not as hard as you might think, you just need to make a few adjustments. Try and follow this routine for one week and see how much better you feel.
Tips:
- Pick foods when they are in season, as they will taste the best, for example, raspberries in June. This is when they are at their freshest and have not been sitting in storage in a warehouse for months.
- Don’t buy foods that have been exported from far away and not in season where you are, like buying strawberries at Christmas time. Food tastes better in it’s natural state.
Why it matters
Fruit bought when not in season needs to have sugar/salt added to it to enhance it’s flavor. But this will only add to the fat and calorific value of the fruit and take away from the clean eating plan that you are trying to follow. Try to buy foods from within your region when in season.
Recipes
