- Do have a list of ingredients that you need to buy and do not deviate from the list when you go food shopping. Plan your meals in advance and know exactly what it is you need to buy to make them.
- Don’t assume you do not have time to cook. Cooking a meal is usually quicker than ordering take out. Plus, you can make double the amount and then freeze the leftovers to be used the following week in your plan.
Why it matters
Cooking meals from scratch at home is a great way to ensure that you are eating clean, as you will know exactly what ingredients are going into the meal and avoid all processed and chemical ingredients. Planning your menu in advance also means you can mix it up and make sure you are getting a different variety of foods each day.
