Getting old is inevitable, but growing up is optional! An elderly woman from New Minas., Nova Scotia was recently granted her wish to dance with the young cashier at a local gas station.
An Unusual Request
The woman and her husband came into the gas station and asked owner Scott Fraser whether his son Sean would be happy to gift her with a dance.
Putting The Customer First
Sean Scott, the owner’s son, said that he would be happy to oblige. However, as they had been talking, a queue had formed at the till. Sean said he would have to serve the customers first before he would be available to dance.
Community Spirit
However, the other customers in the shop urged the pair to start waltzing, putting the lady’s wishes before their own. In the end, Sean served the customers before taking time out of his shift to grant the lady her desire.
Human Connection Can Be Found In The Unlikeliest Of Places
The lady was delighted as she danced with her partner.
It’s heartwarming to know that even though the world seems bleak at times, there are still beautiful moments to be found in the most unlikeliest of places! When we keep a youthful spirit and look for joy in ordinary places, whilst putting others before ourselves, an ordinary Sunday can turn into something remarkable.
