I love cats. I had a cat when I was growing up who was incredibly chill and loved being a pet and didn’t knock stuff over or in general do jerky things. It kind of spoiled me, because the cats I’ve had since then have been more normal: Cats who demand attention at inconvenient times, who insist on sleeping with you, who have weird quirks (my current cat, Dexter, refuses to drink out of any bowl. He will only drink water out of a glass on our coffee table.) Cats generally are usually vocal, or feisty or energetic– and they often enjoy knocking stuff off tables, counters, or anything, really.
