With work, home and a vibrant social life, women almost always miss out on the one aspect that allows them to do so much, i.e. their health. Women’s health often comes at cost and by the time we are 50, we have a plethora of issues that only medication can solve. Sometimes not even that. Women’s health must be an important issue for everybody concerned because at least in some communities, they form the backbone of a healthy social fabric. Some of the major issues that come up when you’re 50 include osteoporosis and diabetes. In the last decade or so, breast cancer and cervical cancer have been on a rise.
This infographic, presented by Be Independent lists the various diseases that can rack you and the preventative measures you should be taking to come up on top of ‘em. Women’s health requires regular visit to the GP and vaccines that can prevent diseases such as Hepatitis A, B and chickenpox. One must obviously include regular exercise and living a healthy lifestyle to progress the work done by medication. Fresh market colours can make you feel better inside and out. Routine exams for HIV and sexually transmitted diseases are a must, especially if one is at risk.
We often forget when stuck in our daily rut that only we can take care of ourselves. Women’s health almost always suffers when one has too much to do and too little time. So when you are out relaxing, try to put down that alcohol and maybe focus instead on that fresh, juicy tomato salad. Women are at high risk from alcohol misuse and obesity. We often see the most industrious leading a most unhealthy, sedentary lifestyle. Without that run, you can be sure of that osteoporosis coming back to haunt you. Brittle bones were never a good idea in the long run.
