An Austrian boy was out fishing on the Danube River when he spotted something floating along the water. When the parcel came closer, the boy got into the water to retrieve it and found that it was a bundle of 100,000 euros. Police are still investigating the source of the money.
There’s a law in Austria that allows anyone who finds cash and brings it to the police to claim 5 to 10 percent of the total amount, and keep the entire sum if the rightful owner cannot be identified within a year. Sadly, the boy in question wasn’t given a chance to call the police himself, as the bystanders did that for him. So it isn’t clear if he’ll be allowed to keep the money or not.
