Hotel Droog - Amsterdam, Netherlands
A brainchild of Dutch design studio Droog, this quirky establishment in the historical center of Amsterdam is a hotel concept like no other.
Occupying a 17th-century building that once accommodated the city’s textile guild, Hotel Droog features a spa, a fashion store, and a gallery space hosting rotating exhibitions. Its one and only bedroom is a beautifully designed contemporary apartment with fully-equipped kitchen and lovely views over the city’s rooftops, while the light-filled restaurant, called ROOMSERVICE, serves fresh, homemade dishes in a trendy, cafe-like setting.
One of the hotel’s most remarkable features is the Fairy Tale Garden, a superb oasis planned by French designers Claude Pasquer and Corinne Détroyat, where natural and artificial elements are woven together in an awe-inspiring scenery.
