The strange thing about us humans is that we all feel uncomfortable with ourselves from time to time. For some of us, maybe it’s all the time. This sense of personal dissatisfaction is so unnatural when you think about it.
Just look at dogs, cats, birds, trees, or any other living thing on earth — you won’t find an ounce of shame. How could we be alive in these bodies, experiencing all these amazing things, and be worried about the size of our thighs or the thickness of our eyebrows?
The nitpicking we subject ourselves to is culturally taught, and it’s something we’d best try to unlearn so that we can appreciate our lives fully.
What do you do when you absolutely hate something about yourself, whether it’s a personality trait or a physical attribute? That’s what this comic will show you.
Hint: The trick is to find your Frida Kahlo. Frida was a talented Mexican painter who lived a tumultuous, less-than-perfect life. Despite her hardships (and quirkiness), she is still admired for her work by artists around the world.
