Abandoned floating logging camp in Ketchikan, Alaska (16 Pics)

Around 15-20 years ago the large pulp mill near Ketchikan, Alaska got in trouble for dumping contaminates. Couple years later when several HUGE logging contracs came up, the Forestry Service refused to renew their contracts. As a result much of the logging industry dried up in south-east Alaska. Float camps like this were originally towed from site to site so crews could live next to the area where they were working since there are no roads to get to many of the work camps. This abandonded float camp is located in Ward Cove, Alaska. It's an eerie sight.
